Default limit remote access to one file on one computer?

Hi, we have a home network with a firewall.
I would like to limit 2 remote users to have access to one database file on one computer on the network.
is this possible to set up safely and securely?
If yes, I assume that the directions to do this are in the documentation? (My more-techy husband will be doing this.)
thanks in advance

Yes it is possible. I would like to add that remote access becomes much easier using remote support tools such as gosupportnow, logmeinrescue, GoToMyPC etc. I have used these tools and I have experienced hassle free remote support experience.
