I am often connecting to public wifi spots and am concerned when I want to check my bank or buy merchandise with my credit card online when connected to a wifi spot.
Does simply running gbridge on my laptop secure / encrypt my data so that I can use my web browser and connect to my bank website or so I need a different solution? Aaron |

Well you could use the desktop sharing feature (VNC) and control the remote computer, maybe the one at you home, and bring up the browser on that computer and surf and shop from the home computer. The connection between you and your home computer should be in VPN. Then you should only need to worry about the security connection between you home computer and the internet.
Someone tell me if I am wrong?? And dev, lets get going on a linux, and a portable version... |

ddhaaron, simple run gbridge on your laptop doesn't give the browsing security you want. Gbridge encrypts the network traffics that among your comupters that are linked by Gbridge, but not normal internet browsing traffic.
