Me and my offsite friend have taken all the set-up steps: downloaded, logged in, created SecureShare folders, given permissions, etc. We cannot browse each other's SecureShare folders. A message comes up "Page Load Error...Network Timeout". I've tried this on another computer, besides my friend, and things seem to work fine. Any ideas what might be causing the specific problem between me and my friend?

please try to browse the local SecureShare on your computer and on your friend's computer. i.e.
- browse your computer A's secureshare on your computer A. - browse your friend's computer B's SecureShare on your friend's computer B. If you or your friend still see the "page load error, network timeout" message, that means the local firewall has blocked Gbridge. You need to set firewall rules to allow gbridge.exe to accept incoming connections. |

I allowed the 3 GBridge items in my firewall exceptions list, but am still not able to connect to my friend. He's done likewise. We've gone through all types of checklists to make sure we're the same... firewall, internet options, etc. Still no luck.

I'm having a similar problem to this.
I'm running this with another person and he can see all the stuff that I share but I can't see his. He also can't see it in the Gbridge interface on his computer. We check the firewall settings on both computer's and they are both letting Gbridge through. |

If your friend cannot see his SecureShare even on his computer, it is very likely a firewall issue on his computer. Make sure the firewall allows Gbridge.exe to listen and accept incoming connections.

Windows FireWall is the only one on his computer and it has Gbridge listed as an exception

We have just tried that and it hasn't worked either.
Just to be clear he can see everything on other computers he has access to but neither he nor anyone else can see anything on his computer. We have also tried reinstalling Gbridge |

All evidences point to firewall issue on your friend's pc. The fact that he can see everything on other computers means the virtual NIC and gbridge application functional correctly. Seems gbridge cannot accept incoming request for some reasons. Please make sure there is no other firewall or anti-virus software installed on his computer. What is his windows' version?
