Default hosted vpn file sharing

Say for example I don't want to have to host a vpn session, particularly I may be away from my computer, unavailable or just want distance.

I'd like to be able to upload a sizeable amount of data to google storage site. And do a VPN file share whether I am online or not and still have management level control of what users can access which folders.

To me a VPN file share will show shared resources in "my network places" of the users that are connected.

Is there a way to persue this hosted method with google?

Thanks

newbie question:

Does this mean I am DOA? I need to sync files in a program that requires my share to show up in windows network places as the same share name as my remote computer's share name.

(ex: my remote computer, \\mike-pc1, has share "c:\act\database\MKC.pad" I need to point to this with my gbridged computer and I do not see how unless it shows up under windows network place as \\mike-pc1\c. I can make a connection to it and even assign a drive letter locally to the share thru gbridge but it shows up as \\10.239.0.12\c which I can't seem to use)

Does this mean I am DOA?

Also, I guess I am not sure what the 'windows share folder' really does for me since it does not show the shared remote directory in windows network places.... is there a detailed description on this function? Perhaps there is a way I can use this to make my sync work if I understand the nomenclature and stuff better...

Thanks!

I am not sure if the windows folder sharing are enabled on both side , whether you could see each other's pc automatically list on "my network places". but you could explicitly specify the netbios name of the \\peer.user.gbridge.net\sharename to access those resources.
Admin, plz correct me if I was wrong.
