Collaborative desktop
I know that Gbridge has desktopshare, but what about creating a virtual desktop that can be shared by multiple (invited) users at once.
I know there is a linux based copy of this idea somewhere out there, and I'm sure there would be some kinks to work out, but combined with voice and text chat this would be great for informal meetings.
I know some of the kinks would be creating the virtual desktop and the system intensity of it, along with compatibility (some users might not have some program or a different version installed, etc), but instead of one computer in charge of the whole desktop, what if each user "contributed" a running window?
For example, one user launches their copy of excel and drags it to the vdesktop, another user can manipulate that window while it runs of the first user's computer.
I'm no programming expert (yet), but from my little experience, half of it is figuring out how you want it to work.
