Default Work on remote file without taking control of desktop?

Quickbooks allows multiple users to be accessing and updating a file simultaneously. How do I set Gbridge to allow me to work on a Quickbooks file on my friends computer without taking control of her desktop, because she will be doing her own work at the same time. I have Quickbooks installed on my computer. I just need to know how to point (browse) QB to the file on her computer. Is there a special setting to allow this, or do I need to find a different software solution? I am running XP Home and she is running Vista on a new 64 bit machine.
