During my first ever download and install (attempt) to my W2KP machine, I receive a Gbridge (gbridge-20b1322-2k--setup.exe) error code 2. The inf file or an inf statement-read is a no go.
Some of the software installs anyway (ugh!). When I run the C:\Program Files\Gbridge LLC\Gbridge\gbridge.exe (a) reboot cycle(s) is (are) discussed but that (those) route(s) fail(s) also. What's wrong here? I would prefer to not give up on your product. Also, do you have an .exe call for the uninstall (all my installs and uninstalls are done from stored procedures in a database table). |

To uninstall ,please use C:\Program Files\Gbridge LLC\Gbridge\uninstall.exe. |

What is the exact error message on the black window?
update: updatefn failed 3758096943 .. Exit code = 2 Do you have any vpn installed on your w2k machine? No longer AFAIK - had a Cisco VPN setup at one time but uninstalled To uninstall ,please use C:\Program Files\Gbridge LLC\Gbridge\uninstall.exe. Although what appears to be a good portion of the Gbridge files are placed by the failed install, the File : C:\Program Files\Gbridge LLC\Gbridge\uninstall.exe is not one of them ... Ugh! |

The above Gbridge error and issues have been (self) resolved:
Under Driver Signing Options setting on my W2KP machine I had the Block radio button selected and the Administrator option checkbox checked. FIX Route: START/SETTINGS/CONTROL PANEL/SYSTEM/HARDWARE/DRIVER SIGNING OPTIONS: The resulting dialog reads something like this : To ensure their integrity, all files on the Windows 2000 CD are digitally signed by Microsoft and are automatically verified during Setup. When you install new software, the following verification settings will be used. File signature verification Ignore - install all files, regardless of file signature Warn -display a message before installing an unsigned file Block - prevent installation of unsigned files Administrator Option: Apply setting as a system default FIX: - Deselected Block and selected Warn - Retained the Administrator option Apply setting ... as checked The install completes successfully. Does Gbridge have a signing issue with the Microsoft desired requirements for Driver Signing? |

Very glad that you solved the problem yourself.
3758096943 = 0xe000022f Error 0xe000022f: The third-party INF does not contain digital signature information. Having the driver signed by Microsoft is a lengthy and costly procedure :-( |
