what Google have to say about this little software?
do they like the idea that you are riding there network?

it use to be some other software that create an online network drive from your gmail mailbox and google started to close accounts that used that software.

should i expect the same threat here?

beside that, i have to say that it's very cool software and very useful
if i will be sure that there is no danger to my account i probably use it...

We believe Gbridge fully complies with Gtalk's terms of service.

We only use Gtalk server to transfer presence info (Gtalk client does that as well) and assist handshake process of direct secure tunnel establishing (far less than 1KB each time), the load is not much higher than normal chatting, so don't think it will cause any problem on google's mighty network. The bulk data are transfered though the direct secure tunnel established by Gbridge. If direct secure tunnel is not possible, we use Gbridge's server to securely relay the traffic.

The Gmail Drive you mentioned is a totally different beast. Gmail Drive uses Google's network and servers to store/retrieve (MB or even GB) bulk data, which are very resource demanding operations, thousands or millions times more expensive than Gbridge. Still, Google doesn't ban Gmail Drive and allow moderate use. We don't think there is any reason why Google will close a google account because of the ower uses Gbridge. Ban Gbridge user will only make Microsoft or Yahoo happy.

So don't worry :-)
