Accessing a remote pc

Hi,

I am trying to access another pc and am trying to figure out of Gbridge is the right software for me to use. In order to access the other pc does it need a password or can I set up a password? If I download gbridge to my pc and to the other pc can I just log in as normal or does someone have to be at the other pc???
