i installed gbridge on my desktop pc (192.168.1.2) running vista32. i cant install it on my laptop (192.168.1.3) because its vista64. now, for some reason i cannot use MS remote desktop connection FROM my laptop TO my desktop. i can however still see and connect to my shared drive from m laptop to my desktop.is there some gbridge explanation for this?
thanks

We just did a test on our testbed. RDP works both on the gbridge virtual ip and the real ip on our test box.
Does rdp works before you install gbridge? Is it enabled? Have you check its firewall setting?
please do a "netstat /na" command and looking for something like this:
TCP 0.0.0.0:3389 0.0.0.0:0 LISTENING
If you see this, that means your RDP (port 3389) is on and listen on all network adapter (include gbridge vpn adapter).

yep rdp worked right before i installed gbridge. in fact, i was using RDP while installing gbridge and i remember getting kicked off right as the install was completing. its enabled and even i fi turn my firewall off, it wont connect. i do see
TCP 0.0.0.0:3389 0.0.0.0:0 LISTENING
but i also see
TCP [::]:3389 [::]:0 LISTENING
if that matters
thanks

i knew this would happen! as i was writing that last post, i had an idea.... i tried it and it worked.
my desktop is running vista, so i went into the Network and Sharing center and changed the new gbridge network to Private instead of Public. all problems solved! is it ok to have this set as Private? honestly i dont know what the difference is.
