Gbridge: Amazing software and it’s a part of my desktop environment like Word and Excel. I wish it worked on Linux. I recommend this little app to be used by all.

Lately I have been facing few GbridgeVNC crashes. I have it installed on 4 XP Machines, 2 Vista Machines and 2 Windows 7 machines.

I have faced a lot of crashes when:

1) Open GbridgeVNC from a Vista to Vista: The windows just freezes and little later not responding giving a error popup of crash. It is very frequent and annoying.

2) Open GbridgeVNC from XP to XP: Similar to the point 1 but not so frequent.

3) Open Gbridge from XP to Vista: Works but the speed is too slow in also Local LAN.

Till now I have not faced any issues on Windows 7 machine, but might be as I don’t use it much it being my HTPC.

The RDP works flawless might be since its using the inbuilt Microsoft RDP App.

The Gbridge VNC really needs some work on it. I would like to bring it to notice that I am a technical user and also I have been using UltraVNC for a long time, and never faced an issue connecting the UltraVNC over my overseas systems over Intranet and LAN too.

I am using 2.0.0.1353.

Is there any fix for the issues I am facing? Are there more users facing the same issue?

Let me know.

Is there anyone facing the same issue?

To just work around I am using the UltraVNC as an external VNC, coz the UltraVNC version is more updated than the GbridgeVNC, both being from UltraVNC there seems to be a version difference.

GbridgeVNC Version = 1.0.5.2
UltraVNC Version = 1.0.8.2

The issue of VNC getting closed or crashing is not gone yet, but the frequency has decreased amazingly.

I would request the Gbridge team to update the UltraVNC in the Gbridge Package.
