direct connect... but after restart

Sometimes, when I connect with vnc on my home pc from work, I get relayed connection. So I try to restart both gbridge client and after that I got at 99% direct connection.

What's the reason? There are some tricks to obtain often direct connection?

what 's your connection type , which is displayed near the "globe" icon?
fair or good connectivities? if it is fair, most likely you will had relay connections ( unless others is excellent ). my netgear router sometime give me "fair" status, sometimes give me "good". I guess it is UPNP related. not sure if you are the same case

I get always "Excellent network connectivity" in both pc (work and home).

I think the problem is my home provider: Fastweb. They are an italian provider which do not give public ips to costumer but only private ips and act a nat over all network. Then between the router and my home network is another router which act another nat....

Is an extreme condition, but the strange thing is that after gbridge reboot, everything work well for a while... Mysteries of life...
