Error with Gmail Custom Domains

Google Mail (Gmail) US allows holders of domain names to keep their personal domain and have all mail processed through Gmail dns servers. I log into Gmail with my domain name@customdomain.com and put my password in - this allows me to log in fine with both Gmail on the web as well as google talk. When I try to do the same with gbridge it gives me an authentication error. After reading the forums, I believe it is the same separate server issue that was causing an error with the UK and German versions of Gmail in that Gmail probably uses different servers or something that is not allowing me to log in. I can set up an @gmail.com account and it works fine on my computer, but all my e-mail is in the other account and I need to keep my domain account open for google talk.

Sorry, currently we don't support customized domain account. We may support it in the future release.

The free gmail id and your customized domain ID won't conflict. You can run gtalk and gbridge on the same machine at the same time. Is that a work around for your issue?

yes, it would be as I don't mind setting up a separate gmail dummy account so long as I don't' have to keep that logged into gtalk instead of my custom domain gmail account

- please confirm though - you're saying as a work around simply sign up for a normal gmail account and log in with gbridge, which can run SEPARATELY and AT THE SAME TIME as my gTalk account which is logged in to my separate domain gmail account?
