I need to specify a proxy server to get out of my corporate network. Is this currently possible OR considered in a future version?

Hi,

I was real excited to use this product from work computer to control home computer. However I am blocked by the proxy. What is the timeline for releasing this feature? Otherwise I am dead in the water. Thanks.

Yes, either a proxy server, or using a serverside port that isn't blocked by my company's filter. :^\

We are sorry, currently we don't support proxy server. We will support it in the future release. Keep tuned.

add another vote for proxy through corporate firewall. this is useless to me without it.

Same here.. Supporting proxy would be a really strong argument to use this software.

The proxy support is the only thing holding me back from using GBridge so I'll keep my eyes open for when it's available.

Another vote for proxy support. It's a must-have feature.

Another vote for proxy support :) Most of the corporate environments have some kinda proxy setup.

Have tried couple of other similar products and only Leaf from Leaf Networks seems to support proxies

1) Leaf - Yes
2) Remobo - No
3) YOICS - No
4) Hamachi - Yes (but extremely slow)

Currenly we are busy working on the google app account support. Proxy support will be the next in the Q.

I've had limited success using Proxyfirewall.

This redidrects all netwrok apps through the coporate firewall. I can get gbridge to launch, but my network has the VNC ports blocked at the proxy. I'll need to change the port settings on my home network.

Are you planning the proxy support in the next release? I am stuck behind proxy (which uses port 8080) and gBridge can not log in. Proxycap is not free.

Hi, Here's another tag for this feature. It'll be a killer app with this.

Yep. we need proxy support. :( actually i think, the most of the times you want to access your home computer is because you're are not in front of it. cuz you're at work. wich is a corporate network behind a proxy server.
Thank u Very much!

Being behind a corporate firewall is the reason I need an app like this. But its also stuck behind a Microsoft ISA 2006 Firewall and if it doesnt go through http 80 or 443 (afaik) then i cant access it. LogMeIn works but theres no file transfer in the Free version...

Care to elaborate about what that Vilongu-thing does ? Their site gives close to naught information about what it is intended to achieve except they call it a "tunneler".

What is it and how do you use it in conjunction with GBridge ?

Vilongu is a great tool. You specify the proxy server in the configuration and then all internet traffic is tunneled through that. I use Vilongu and GBridge at work behind a strict corporate proxy.

I tried Vilongu behind my corp proxy and the internet connection stopped at all. Any suggestions?
Thanks

I was very hopeful to use this product, but the lack of support for proxy is a big gap. since this request is pending since 2008, I don't hole any hopes it will be supported any time soon. I am uninstallign it. Good luck

I agree, kind of a disappointment there is no built in proxy support yet. However I do want to say that GBridge works well with Proxifier. I tried WideCap, but GBridge crashed after a few seconds of being connected. Yeah, I know Proxifier is not free, but it's the only solution I've found that works so far. I've heard Vilongu works, but it is FAR LESS configurable (ie, I don't want to proxify my whole system).

Once set up, be sure to exclude your GBridge IP range in the Proxifier rule.
