We have received a couple of complains about login. After some investigations we highly suspect the issue is caused by google's Gtalk authentication server's security mechanism is incorrectly triggered.

Gbridge uses google's libjingle authentication library and use Gtalk's authentication server. Gtalk has added some heuristics to try to detect hacker attack, since the last public update of libjingle library. For example, gtalk client, if Gtalk server find that an "popular" account (a account with short name and has been password-guessed many time by hacker) is logged in from some "suspicious IP", even you provide the correct account and password, it may still give you password error and ask the user to recognize some twisted letters to verify.

You can try to log in your username/password from a vanilla gtalk client and see. You can also apply a new gmail id and try.

My GBridge also asks for gmail credentials and I enter them but it keeps trying to reach the ip address for gbridge, port 5222, nothing happens, then it tries port 80, nothing happens, then it comes back to the login screen. One thing that's unusual is that mine tells me that another computer on the network is using the same IP address as mine. Could it be the DHCP server is not working or something? Because event logs state:
Description:
The IP address lease xx.xxx.xxx.xx for the Network Card with network address 0250F2CXX201 has been denied by the DHCP server xx.xxx.xxx.xx (The DHCP Server sent a DHCPNACK message).

I'm using wi-fi at work, but I should have open access to internet and I can connect to any other site.. Help?

I also tried using a different gmail login and same thing.

Rx78, maybe your issue has a different cause. I think the culprit is the duplicate ip problem. Please resolve that first.
