Sorry, currently we don't support remote printer. We will consider adding this in future release. Thanks for using Gbridge!

the latest beta support remote printer.
http://www.gbridge.com/check_version/gbridge-latest-beta.exe
to use it:
- on the computer that host the printer, click gbridge option button -> advanced options
- check "windows shared folder" checkbox in the open to my other computer's group
- restart gbridge
- on the computer you want to print from, in gbridge friend tab, click the icon of computer that hosts the printer, select "explore windows share folders". A couple of second after after the password prompt, you should see a explorer window that list all the share folder and share printers of the remote computer. Select the print you want to use, and double click.

Hi!
This is easy to setup using your home network printer. Just use port forwarding on your home router to forward the port, most likely 9100, to the LAN IP of your print server and you (or anyone can) print to your printer from anywhere on the planet. I have had a printer setup like this for years with no problems - hacking the printer is not practical and the hackers give up after a while (turn off UPnP on the router.)
on your client computer you setup a printer to print to the port:
http://router(PUBLIC)IP:port/printername
on Windows XP use the "Add Printer Wizard" and click on "A network printer, or a printer attached to another computer." Then use the "Specify a printer:" button... "Connect to a printer on the Internet or on a home or office network:"
so it might look like this for the printer port (sample only) http://299.123.44.5:9100/PRN1
if you use dynamic DNS on your router you can use the host name in place of the public IP address (which is what I do!)
Enjoy!

When I double click the printer name I get an error saying it cannot connect. Any ideas. This printer is not a networked printer like mentioned in the other solution.
Thanks. :)
