Windows 7 -> GBridge -> VMWare -> Windows XP -> MySQL

Hello:

My main computer is a Windows 7 x64. I am trying to use GBridge to connect to my VMWare with a guest Windows XP that has MySQL.

I have tried so many things that I lost track.

I have tested the chat in GBridge and it works fine: (Win7 host <--> VMWare/WInXP)

I try to connect (Win7/HeidiSQL -> VMWare/WinXP/HeidiSQL/MySQL) and I get an error:


Can some one help me. I have been trying to get this resolved for over 2 weeks.

I found my answer. Hope this will help someone.:)

It was the firewall in Windows XP that was blocking the in/out validation of the VPN.:(

What I had to do is let the firewall allow the program mysqld.exe in.:rolleyes:

Took me almost 2 weeks to figure this out. I had to load the Comono Firewall program to find out. The Comono firewall alerted me every program that was trying to go in or out. When I tried to access the virtual machine Comono firewall notified me. Windows firewall never notified me:mad:.
