Sorry, currently we don't support remote printer share. We will consider adding this in future release. Thanks for using Gbridge!

Add my vote for Printer Sharing. After being 'bailed out' by Gbridge's amazing file sharing capability; I was able to transfer all relevant files to a remote pc where it was impossible get a Vista pc and XP pc network to cooperate.

I'm still going round and round trying to get access to my remote printer...

As a work-around, if you have a printer connected to a computer with gbridge, couldn't you copy the file to that computer, then use VNC to remote control that computer and print from there?
On another note, if I remember correctly, Windows remote desktop allows for shared resources to and from the guest machine, any word or ideas if we can look forward to those features in gbridge?

Gbridge supports all windows remote desktop features as long as the remote machine has windows remote desktop service (xp pro, vista ultimate or vista business). To use all the configures you need to launch the windows remote desktop client through 'start' menu.

start -> program -> accessories-> remote desktop connection

type in the remote computer's gbridge name, e.g. workdesk.myname.gbridge.net, you can configure the connection by click the "options" menu.

the latest beta support remote printer.

http://www.gbridge.com/check_version/gbridge-latest-beta.exe

to use it:
- on the computer that host the printer, click gbridge option button -> advanced options
- check "windows shared folder" checkbox in the open to my other computer's group
- restart gbridge
- on the computer you want to print from, in gbridge friend tab, click the icon of computer that hosts the printer, select "explore windows share folders". A couple of second after after the password prompt, you should see a explorer window that list all the share folder and share printers of the remote computer. Select the print you want to use, and double click.

I tried using the printer via windows sharing, ut I had to constantly "connect to printer" to print .After a little research, I found out that I could use "print services for unix". This is the perfect solution for remote printing in Gbridge!
Just activate "print services for unix" (XP), or LPD in Vista/7 on the host pc,and "print services for unix" (XP), or LPR in Vista/7 and you can then connect to the printer. It did take a little trial and error, but once up and running the connection to the printer is rock solid. ;)
