We are about to launch an Alternative energy project that requires storing and forwarding info. Bandwidth is not a big issue initially, but guaranteed delivery and security is(high speed transfers will become more and more important). We envision initially 1000's of devices connected around the globe, expanding to millions quickly. Is your's (and Google's) technology a good fit ? We are big proponents of sharing for the greater good.

I'm wondering if it is possible to incorporate your code into our JAVA based app ?Also do you have plans for open sourcing it ?
I don't want to incorporate a technology that will cost me big $$$$$ in the future.

As a side note, do you think there are any risks to relying on Google for the communications infrastructure ?

One of Gbridge's current limitation is that it only supports windows. If your application runs on windows, you can take advantage of gbridge's universal connectivity very easily, because Gbridge provide tcp/ip level compatibility. You application can just use proper DNS lookup, e.g. homepc.mightuser.gbridge.com to get the virtual Gbridge ip address and communicate through gbridge's virtual interface. So far, we don't have plan to open sourcing it. Because we leverage google infrastructure and peer to peer technology, the scalability of Gbridge is excellent. If you can give me a little more detail about your application, we can discuss about the integration in more detail.
