Hello! Once again, fantastic product.
I would love to see some kind of ability to access/use smartphones. I tried downloading Gbridge from my phone, in dire hopes of being able to access my desktop from my cell phone.
There are services that are available, but I would prefer to have a single solution.
I would be willing to pay for this kind of service.
I would also be willing to make a donation right now for the most useful program that I have running and working on all my computers.
Thanks again!
Obviously asking for Gbridge to be ported to any of the mobile OSs is a very big ask. Unlikely to happen I imagine, though I cant speak for the developers.
Though if you post the specifics of what you want to achieve from your phone, and what model/software it runs, someone may be able to offer workarounds outside of Gbridge?

I've got one of the new droids and I would love to access secure shares from my phone.

Yes, like the origianl post states, there are products for android phones to do this. But, I agree I would prefer if it was Gbridge. This would be a great feature.

I would just melt with happiness if this happened. But I agree, BIG task for a free product.
This is the best products of its type by leaps and bounds.

I think we'd all get a lot of use out of a smart phone version of gbridge. Even if it's a one way only version (i.e. can connect to others but they can't connect to it). I don't know what language gbridge is being developed in but if you were to build a client in java that would cover a large portion of the smart phones on the market. Just my $0.02.

I'd happily pay a few bucks 4 it too.

Well, I'd love all of the features available, but high priority would be,
VNC - Yes there are vnc apps for smart phones, but this is already running on my computers via gbridge. Using the gbridge client would be awesome.
Manage Shares - Manage my shares... Add, Remove, Edit shares through gbridge
Access shared files
I wouldn't care so much about accessing the phone via gbridge, but being able to use the phone to access computers would be outstanding.
If you could figure out a way to route the chat features through the free sms messaging that google now has so it uses the data connection on the phone for smsing instead of carrier's plan for smsing that would be outstanding. There are a few apps out that advertise that, but I've been through 3 or 4 of them on my droid and have yet to get one to work.
the SMSing in itself would be worth $5-10 bucks easily.

I just bought a Droid as well. Most of the feature of Gbridge wouldn't be necessary for me. The only thing I would really want, is access through VNC. I would love access to other features, but probably wouldn't use most of them...at least not very often.
And of course I would be more than willing to pay a few bucks for an app like that!
Thanks!

I would love to see this too. I definitely would pay for it as well! (and I'm a cheapskate!)

There is VNC+ (VNCplus) and RDM+ (RDMplus) i've used before to access my pc from my blackberry using different programs similar to Gbridge. Is there a way to get one of those to work with gbridge?

I have a Palm Pre Plus. I'd love to be able to browse my folders & files remotely. I wouldn't even need remote desktop control.
