Nice work! I was wondering if it is possible to create a portable client, without installer and without "admin" rights. In this case I can carry this on a USB stick and anywhere I am A can take over my registered computers.

Regards, Frank

It is a little bit tricky, because we need to install a VPN driver :-)

Will keep this request in mind and see what we can do. Thanks!

That would be almost perfect for me, getting Gbridge to work on a USB stick. I do a lot of traveling and being able to access my computer at home (and all my family's computers) from anywhere would be a real bonus. I understand the trickiness though because of the driver installation. Is there any way to load then unload the driver on the fly?

What about a windows mobile version? That probably wouldn't work as well as I'd hope. :o)

Wireshark has a portable version that loads the winpcap drivers/libs on every run. It then uninstalls after. Something like that perhaps?

I imagine this wont be as easy as alot of other software packages. Because of the need to create the network adapter etc, and then theres firewalls too to consider.

I use a web based remote access client to remote desktop from a machine that isnt my own. Would be very useful to have this on Gbridge though!

Here's how I roll:

Insert stick, double click to start VirtualBox Portable, double click the virtual machine ...resuming... <here Steve Jobs says BOOM> you have everything you need, including Gbridge. If you want to upgrade VBP, just replace the files with files from a new install.

Perhaps this should be in the FAQ.

Wow. NeoRouter is really cool! I just gave it a try it works for me, both the online portable Viewer and the USB version. Seems it's much more powerful than gbridge, I mean if you need a VPN or remote access software, instead of the social features.

Hope gbrdige can provide the portable version too.
