Hello there!

You have done a great job with this application. It is really very helpful if you are looking for a simple way to sync remote computers, but may I ask you if it possible to run GBridge as system service instead as an application. I need this to be operating and running even if I am not login in Windows (eg. remote server).

Secondly, I noticed that the application is updating and adding files to the remote synchronized computer, but it is not deleting the files that are deleted on the source computer. Is this a bug or this is the way that it works? I searched for a setting about this, but I found nothing. Is there the option to delete the files on the target, if deleted on the source?

I am looking forward for your reply.

Thanks a lot in advance for your prompt attention!

Best regards,

Glad to know you like Gbridge.

We will make Gbridge be able to run a service in future release.

We are working on add more knobs (include the deletion options) to the AutoSync feature.

The new AutoSync feature will be available in 2 weeks.

The run-as-service is still to be determined.

Since your last post, have you come up with a Run-as-Service yet?

I would like to know when this feature would be available too. I am running Server 2003 and am having the problem of having to be logged in to run gBridge. Looks like a great piece of software but I would love it to run unmanaged on my server.

Hello dear Anonymous Guest.

I am sorry to say that, but I gave up this software. I found a much better solution for the synchronization between my servers. You may would like to check out Fling (http://www.nchsoftware.com/fling/index.html). It works very smoothly and automatically.

Thanks,

Hi,

Sorry my English, I'm Spanish.

I'm trying to install GBridge as Service and I found 2 errors:
- The service must be in interactive mode, because always prompt the user/pass although you check "remember".
- When the service is starting, the program does 9 errors because in service mode can't create a "system tray".

I hope this information serve you in the near future.

P.D.: I volunteer for the translation

Is Gbridge dead? The request to run-as-service goes back to 2008... Pretty basic feature to have for a remote access/file sync program.
