I have a question about the sync feature:
is the sync a true sync, meaning it replaces the most current file in each direction between the 2 computers? Or is it a one-way sync?

Im currently using Synctoy but gbridge seems more hassle free.

If the sync doesnt work like I want, can I use gbridge as a VPN and use synctoy across it?

And finally, gbridge seems to display my files on its internet page (mycomputer.gbridge.com/folder), does this mean file transfers are taking place across the internet between 2 of my machines that are on the same network, or if they are on the same network will gbridge detect that and use the LAN to transfer files?

Thanks!

Gbridge is one-way sync. We are working on a major improvement of the AutoSync feature.

Sycntoy doesn't support sync cross network, but there is a work around.
- enable windows share folder gbridge support in both machine (options-> advance options-> open to my other computers -> windows share folder)
- create windows share folder and mapped it locally using gbridge name or gbridge ip address.
- use synctoy to sync between local folder and a remote windows share folder that has been locally mapped
Please install the latest gbridge beta, which has better windows share folder support.

Gbridge will try its best to do peer-to-peer direct transfer, i.e. it will use the LAN to transfer files if possible.
