View Full Version : Scheduling EasyBackup

I was curious if there was a way to schedule the exact start time for EasyBackup. For instance, if I'm in the office at 3PM and want the backup to occur at 8PM every evening, how would I go about making sure that the backup begins at 8PM? I noticed in the setup there is an option to set the frequency/time increment, but I didn't see where an exact time could be specified. For instance, I'd like to use the "Every Day" increment, but when do I know what time that backup occurs? Does it begin at the moment that I start the process and assume the backup will run at that time every day? I apologize if I may have overlooked this option, but I couldn't seem to locate it in the Easy Backup setup.

Thank you in advance.

Currently, you cannot schedule the exact start time for an EasyBack. When we design the user interface, we want to make it the very simple, so we only provide the knob for configure interval, like every-2-hour, or daily. If you select "Every Day", the backup will start 24 hours after your last successful backup. Note that because sometime your source or target PC may not be online, the exact backup start time may drift.

We will consider to let user specify the backup start time in later release. Sorry for the confusion!
