Hi

Ive just stumbled across Gbridge and want to set up a VPN on two computers seperated by a continent.

However, each time Im prompted for my Gmail account name and password it errors out authentification error. This happens when I try to install on both machines.

I set up a new google account to be sure that I was using correct details and still get the same error.

Not a good start.

Any suggestions

Sorry for the inconvenience.

Can you log in using the google's Gtalk client ( http://www.google.com/talk/ (http://www.google.com/talk/) )? Gbridge basically use the same lib and server as Gtalk for authentication.

One catch is that currently Gbridge doen't support proxy, i.e. if your internet access is through a proxy, gbrdige cannot work for now. We plan to add the proxy support soon.

Strange

When I log on to gtalk, it pops up a window saying my proxy server requires username and password. But Im not using a proxy server to my knowledge.

So did gtalk ask you to provide a proxy setting to log in?

If not, please try this account:
u: testgbridgelogin
p: gbridgelogin

If this account doesn't work, maybe you are behind a proxy.

BTW, please make sure you are runing latest version (1.0.0.1193 or 1.0.0.0.1194) of Gbridge.

Those details were accepted, but still cant get in with my details. ?

I made yet another gmail account, and this doesnt get accepted either, yet the test details work fine.

I notice that your test username doesnt take the form of an email address, yet mine does ?? Is that right ?

Not sure what Ive done, but it all seems to be working now, using the same username and password that I was trying earlier :)

I do however have one last question, I want to use this in Sync mode, To sync folder S(ource) to folder D(estination), I understand that if someone adds a file to S on the next update that file will be copied to D, does the same apply if they delete an existing file from S ?

Is there any way I can do a 2 way Sync, ie any change on either S or D will result in the same changes on the respective other folder ?

Thanks for you help, so far so good.
