I think Gbridge is really easy to use, especialy for non-experts. But if you could add the ability for mapping remote directories to local drives then the program would be much more easier for 'dummies' to use.
Thanks for the great prog.:)

Good point! I wish there is a easy way to map a remote Gbridge SecureShare to a local virtual drive. Will do some investigation.
There is one workaround if the remote directory is already exported as "windows share folder". Gbridge can support remote "windows share folder" via the VPN, but for security reason, it is disabled. You can enable it by:
1. On the (remote) source computer, click "option" -> "Advanced options" and check the checkbox "Windows Share Folder" under "Open to My Other Computers", and restart Gbridge. Note that now your windows share folder on this computer is visible to all computers that login to Gbridge under the same google account. Please consider the security risk before you do so.
2. On the local computer, in the Friends tab, click the (remote) source computer tab, and select "explore windows share folders". You will be able to see the remote share folders and map them to local drives.
Thanks for using Gbridge! If you like it, please share it with your friends, post review and write blogs :-)

Did you ever come up with a way to do this (I understand the workaround to map a local drive but that does not solve me need).
thank you!

Dear Admin,
I am trying too, but it's don't work.
I do all you write on deferent pc - don't work.
Then I try comodo easyVPN, Hamachi, TeamViewer - in all this program I can share folders - but in Gbridge I cannot.
But Gbrige I love much more. What can we do ?

As I understand there is a grayed out (=disabled) option to allow Windows File Sharing also between your own and friends' computers.
Win Gbridge I guess if you allow windows file sharing between friends computers, then ALL my Gmail friends=lots of contacts would be allowed to reach my file sharing? But I can set a password on my Windows file share and then I'm safe!?
I think its time to make it possible to check that checkbox.

Admin
can you please detail the process to go through so that gbridge can be used to map remote directories so that it can be used as a drive letter in the remote computer.
I have done all that you stated, but was unable to find how to map the directory when I go to "right click on computer" and select "map network drive".
Is that the correct place to be?
Thanks for your help...:)

Thank you, I'm success. But for mapping network drive of course it needs static ip address. Does gbridge providing static ip for every account's computer member? I'm not test it yet, but I guess the ip will change next time I login.
I think it would be great if the link is given in the form of domain, and not ip.
I have 1 more question. Why gbridge vpn network adapter not listed in Windows My Network Places? If it listed then it will more easier to browse remote computer.
