I've been using Gbridge for a view days and I really like it.
But there is one major problem I have not found a solution so far.
I'm trying to connect through Windows Remote Desktop to my PC at Home (running on win XP Pro) and of course Gbridge. I used to do that through “Hamachi” and it worked fine.
When I’m trying to do it through Gbridge it connects for 2 or 3 seconds and than the connection is cancelled.
I’m sure my settings in Gbridge for Windows Remote Desktop are correct. I even turned of the firewall on both computers, but the problem remains.
When I use Desktop Share (VNC) it works perfectly.
The error-message is German. It says
The Remotedesktop-Session has been terminated.
Maybe the Network-Administrator terminated the connection. Try again or ask for technical support.
Any idea what the problem might be?

Can you do remote desktop locally? If you have two computers at home, try to use one machine to connect your home machine directly (when both your machines are in the same LAN) without using gbridge. If that has problem, you would need to fix that first?
thanks!

I'm having the same problems and I am able to connect to other computers in my home via RDP. I checked the global policies and RDP users to be sure my user was allowed access but still get disconnected after a few seconds. Any ideas?

The disconnection happened after you see the login window or happened after you see the content off the remote desktop? Any error message?

I can connect fine with Gbridge VNC but if I start DVD burning software (roxio home) on the remote machine the VNC screen freezes. Remote computer looks like it locked up. When I check the remote machine it has the DVD burning software opened and it has registered all the clicks after the freeze. Meaning it was just my GBridge VNC screen that was not refreshing.
I have encountered the same issue when starting some other apps also, not just the DVD burning software.
Do you know why is this happening? what could be causing the error?

I tested it again. This time I left the frozen VNC sceen open, and I connected to the remote machine with direct Ultra VNC connection. I could see Roxio has started and I could use the remote machine. I closed roxio and Gbridge VNC (that I left open) unfroze and started working again.
Hope this helps.

We have confirmed it is a issue in ultravnc's message hook. We don't have a fix yet, but will post a release with a work around soon.
If you use ultravnc to remote control you computer, and then you open a roxio, the remote control server will hang until you close the roxio.

I had the same problem as Sicox, where the remote desktop session would start and then be terminated.
I looked in the event log of the remote computer and saw that the remote desktop session was failing because the printer drivers from the local machine were not available on the remote machine. I then started the remote desktop session directly (not from the gbridge option) and unticked the option to use local printers in the remote session. The remote desktop session started fine.
Can I suggest you allow the remote desktop options to be set when starting from within gbridge, and by default don't select local printers to be used in the remote session?

I have been facing the same issue of RDP terminating after 2-3 seconds.
After troubleshooting I found out that if the VNC is also enabled with the RDP on the destination system the RDP terminates after 2-3 seconds on the source system.
I simply disabled the Gbridge VNC and tested it. The RDP works well if the Destination system only has RDP and no VNC.
Can anyone test this and confirm this? I want to know it it’s not my environment.
I have Gbridge on 4 XP Machines, 2 Vista Machines and 2 Windows 7 machines and the version of Gbridge is 2.0.0.1353
Let me know.
