I cant connect on my laptop. After I put in user name and pw it starts blinking different boxes that say.. "Gbridge login process...) and has different ips at the end. Blinks like 6-8 times then says "Please check you Network Connection. It is also possible TCP Port 5222 and 80 are blocked by firewall."
It will let me login on desktop pc but not laptop. Any suggestions??

Do your desktop pc and laptop connect to the same network? Do you have firewall on your laptop? What is your windows version?

I'm getting the following dialog after installing and running Gbridge on winxp.

Please check your network connection dialog.
It is also possible that the TCP port 5222, 80, and 443 are blocked by a firewall.

All the applications were added to the exceptions list of Windows Firewall and port 80 isn't blocked because, here I am.

What should I check?

I had created a google account using a hotmail.com email address. When I tried to login to Gbridge using the @hotmail.com address, I received the above problem. I created a gmail.com account and used it for the login which worked.

Depending on how elaborate they are, home networks can be complicated. Unfortunately, because of this complexity, problems occasionally happen. Fortunately, you can usually solve these problems yourself. In most cases, finding the problem is a matter of going through a series of steps to eliminate potential issues one by one until you find the source of the problem.
