I saw this in the Google TOS agreement:

5.3 You agree not to access (or attempt to access) any of the Services by any means other than through the interface that is provided by Google, unless you have been specifically allowed to do so in a separate agreement with Google. You specifically agree not to access (or attempt to access) any of the Services through any automated means (including use of scripts or web crawlers) and shall ensure that you comply with the instructions set out in any robots.txt file present on the Services.

To me this implies that using a service like Gbridge would violate the Google TOS terms. Can someone explain why it would be OK to use Gbridge with Google Mail or Gtalk?

Gbridge is likely using the API's provided by Google specifically for applications of this nature. The language in the TOS is targeted at hackers that try to circumvent the officially provided interfaces.

Gbridge is using standard API's provided by Google (but in a very innovative way). No undocument Google feature is used. We believe that Gbridge fully comply with Google's TOS.
