I was using Gbridge 1.1.1177 and tried an automatic update to 1.1.1183 which failed with a message stating that Gbridge was not properly installed, that I could RETRY, REBOOT or JUST EXIT.
I have made just about everything.
First retried.
Then Reboot.
Then performed an uninstall, followed by a REBOOT and a new clean install.
Nothing worked. I am no longer able to install GBridge, with or without firewall.
Whenever I trie, upon REBOOT a blue screen appears.
Using an HP Notebook with Windows Vista Business, AVG Antivirus 8.0.
And ideas?

Just for the record, I tried installing again version 1183 and when trying to restart the notebook the infamous blue screen appeared. This time I noted the error:
DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE
Does that help?
I also noted the following:
During the installation a Message Box appears telling me to say when Windows ask for confirmation once the driver is not signed or logo tested, no such question was asked, perhaps Windows is simply not installing the driver.
Could that be the case?
Why Windows did not ask anything?
Another question: the installation process requires or uses java? If so which version?
Too many question but that is because I want to use Gbridge.

does 1177 still work? You can get it here:
http://www.gbridge.com/check_version/g1177.exe
If you can pause the blue screen ( http://www.pcreview.co.uk/forums/thread-85775.php ) and provide more information (like parameters) that will be great. ( http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms795679.aspx )
Sorry for the trouble and thanks a lot for debugging this problem for us!!!

Right, if you have installed the driver once, the Windows will cache the result and won't ask you again.

No, gbridge installation process doesn't require or use java.
Too many question but that is because I want to use Gbridge. Thanks for using Gbridge and sorry for the trouble!

I have tried uninstalling everything and re-intalling 1177, didn't work either.
I have noticed the following:
After uninstall Gbridge rules are still present in the firewall settings.
Question: shouldn't they have been erased during uninstall?
Also what if during one of the installation or during upgrade I provided the wrong answer to Windows? Is there a way to reset that, I mean, make Windows forget whatever I have answered?

Sorry, we forget to remove the firewall rule.
If you provide the "don't install" answer to windows, windows won't remember it.
We suspect that there is some other network drivers, like firewall/vpn that conflict with Gbridge.

The problem is WINDOWS is not asking anythin anymore.
Is there a way to completely erase any information related to GBRIDGE so that I can try a 'clean install'?

Tried to Install version 1193 on Philips Noteboook using Vista HOME PREMIUM. First attempt, Gbridge was never installed, again appeared the message saying 'GBridge is not properly installed'.
Any news about these problems? I am about to give up on using Gbridge, unfortunately.

I feel very sorry for this.
Is there anything in common among the computers that has installation problem? Same anti-virus software? Same vpn software from other vendor? Same language (other than english)?

As of today the status is:
One Desktop with Windows Vista Starter Edition, Brazilian Portuguese, Avira Antivirus and GBridge 1.0.0.1177, unique install and working
One Notebook HP with Windows Vista Business, Brazilian Portuguese, AVG Antivirus, formerly using GBridge 1.0.0.1177, after an upgrade attempt GBridge stopped installing, any version, including 1.0.0.1177
One Notebook PHILIPS with Windows Vista Home Premium, Brazilian Portuguese, AVG Antivirus, at the first intall, did not work (unsuccessful installation).
Language does not seem to be the problem or was untill 1.0.0.1177 as all computers use the same language.

I guess maybe the AVG antivirus screws things up.
Please try:
- Right click on the AVG icon in the task bar and select "Launch Control Center"
- In AVG’s Control Center right click on "Firewall" and select “Configure”.
- backup your settings
- Click on the "Profile Switch" tab and double click on the "Gbridge Interface" to change the profile from unassigned to your preferred profile.
- Under the Applications tab scroll down to Gbridge Client, double click on it and under Action select Allow.
Please let us know the result.

Gbridge 1.0 ran fine on a number of my computers, Windows XP and Vista Home Premium, different brands of hw. All Windows versions up-to-date, no firewall problems. After accepting the upgrade to 2.0, on ALL computers the version 1.0 cannot be de-installed and neither versions 1.0 and 2.0 run at all. Please advise me how to de-install version 1.0. I cannot find it using CCleaner.

when install 2.0, 1.0 was uninstalled automatically. When you say 2.0 doesn't run at all, do you see any error message? Can you send the errorlog to support@gbridge.com?
The errorlogs are located at c:\documents and settings\your-user-name\Application Data\Gbridge
There are two files: Gb_error_0.log and Gb_error_1.log

My problems have been solved by temporarily stopping an anti-keylogger program. After that, the old version 1 could be desinstalled and version 2.0 could be installed. Everything looks fine now.

What is the name and version of the anti-keylogger program? We may want to do some internal testing to reproduce the problem.
