I need to be able to disable or appear offline in GTalk

I use the GTalk functionality within GMail or other IM programs and don't intend to use it via GBridge.

I have some programs that depend on the status of my GTalk, for example I have talk back badges on my hompage that now show me as away or online when GBridge is running, this is unacceptable and confusing for my customers. I need them to show me as "Offline."

This doesn't seem possible via GBridge, I see no way to set my GTalk status as offline, or invisible.

I see "Always Away" and "Ignore Broadcast Message" in the chat options - which is fine - and good options for other users.

But for people like me I just need to be able to turn it off completely.

Even more specifically, you should be able to disable showing chats on certain PC's. I may be logged into my gmail account from work and I don't want my desktop to show my conversations.

We will provide an option to allow you to turn it off the chat completely. For now you can just turn "Ignore Broadcast Message" off.

I'd like to add another vote to being able to appear invisible on google talk, albeit for a much more trivial reason. People who use google chat keep messaging me, and since I always have GBridge on it becomes a bit irritating.

Easily my favorite program though, I spread it like the plague.

Awesome! That worked. It was highly annoying having my regular Chat program (Trillian) pop up an IM window, as well as all four of my computers, at the same time.

I`m using gtalk and I want to be invisible. Can i do this? Is thier any option in gtalk to show myself offline/invisible??

I think this software is potential winner in private_network/secure_chat category. It is really great program and I would recommend it to my friends...

...Still, I highly request long_time_awaited INVISIBLE option.

Please, implement it for us.
