I'm not sure whether I have found a bug in Gbridge, or I have a Windows XP problem, or I fail to understand something.
I'm running Windows XP SP3 on a desktop and a laptop. Both machines are running Windows Firewall. Both machines have user accounts set up for a local user (Power User) and a local built-in Administrator. Administrator has Full Control permission, while Power User has permission to Modify.
I have installed Gbridge vers. 1.0.0.1180. I have configured Gbridge DesktopShare and Remote Desktop on both machines.
The DesktopShare feature works fine on both machines for all combinations of users. My problem arises when I try to use the Remote Desktop feature.
1. If the remote machine has the Administrator logged on, and I log on remotely as that user, everything works fine.
2. If the remote machine has the local user logged on, and I try to log on as that user, I get the following message. The local policy of this system does not permit you to logon remotely.
3. If the remote machine has the local user logged on, and I try to log on as the Administrator, the remote logoff process begins, and the system hangs up. After a timeout period a message comes back that the connnection has been lost.
I have examined the local policies on both computers, and it appears that the appropriate permissions have been set (see attached).
So I conclude that Gbridge can use the Remote Desktop feature ONLY as the remote computer Administrator. Is that correct, or am I missing something?
