Question about compression

I'm not sure how to test this, but is compression being used on the network adapter? I can't help but wonder if bandwidth can be improved with this, I know it was discussed that GBridge will have to use a bouncing site when the connection is "poor", and this could help with that.

I've never implemented a streaming compression codec though, so I wouldn't have any idea how this would work (although using Microsoft's VPN/Dialup software allows compression):o

Gbridge already does per-packet gzip compression for WAN link. It doesn't do any compression for local link.

Ah. Wasn't sure if it was doing that or not. Isn't GZip "not that great" though? Must be my mistake :D
