This may be a bit far off for you guys, but I'd like to mention it anyway.
Where I work (Tech dept for a college in a university), we use vnc on a regular basis to troubleshoot usage/software issues on users' computers.
To start vnc for us, the user has to start a script which starts the vnc server and gives them their ip address, which they then have to give to us.
Could you offer a "stripped down" version which offers vnc and can connect to an active directory server to detect users instead of going off gmail?
