using gbridge account, and want to remote.
However in the configure it says to tell firewall to allow tcp port 3389,
and then it say "Please note that once you turn on the remote desktop service,
other computer can also try to access it through the normal (non-gbridge)
network interface as well"
What does this mean? is it telling me that I will have left my computer
open to invasion ?

If you computer is behind NAT, i.e. doesn't have public IP address, you are safe from attacks from the Internet. Otherwise, you are relying on you windows login username/password to protect you from invasion. The safer way is to configure your firewall so that port 3389 is only open to gbridge network address, i.e. 10.239.x.x.

----my question back
Wow that sounds like good thing, can you tell me how (or where to find out) how I might do that?

at work I use a netgear vpn router running an provided static ip, behind that I'm running F-Secure Security Shield firewall software.
at home I use a linksys wireless router over a provided dynamic ip, behind which I'm running Mcafee firewall software.
