Gbridge to a standby computer

Is there any way this is possible?
I'd like to set my desktop computer to go to standby to save power (comes back up password protected), but do not seem able to do this.

sorry, we are not aware of any way to remotely wake up a computer that is in standby mode.

If it is just screensaver, that is different.

I think I figured out what happened for me to bring up this question.
My desktop locked itself while I was gone and that is probably why I couldn't see it in gbridge.
Now I have all that turned off.
